Ensuring the safety of health and environment
Cooper Pharma believes in taking care of its employees and environment all along, formally mandated by the ISO 9001-2000 standards for a pharmaceutical manufacturing company in India. We are committed to provide a safe and healthy environment to all our stakeholders including management officials, employees, contractors and visitors. All the employees undergo a medical fitness test at the time of appointment and thereafter every year. Those employees who have suffered a long period of illness have to submit a Medical Fitness Certificate before resuming work, ensuring they are physically and mentally fit and fine to perform their job responsibilities. Moreover, all employees involved in manufacturing activities have to comply with the cleanliness and hygiene parameters.
The maintenance of a healthy and environment-friendly manufacturing facility is equally important for Cooper Pharma throughout the production process. We have installed modern water and waste management systems to ensure minimal or no hazardous materials, in the form of solid, liquid or gas, released in nature.Facility premises are designed according to the cGMP standards. All the workplaces and equipment operation sites are specifically designed to achieve optimum utilization with minimal risk of errors. It also helps to avoid cross-contamination and adverse impact on the health of our staff and environment as well.
Nature of construction and finishes
The manufacturing facility buildings are constructed with standard quality materials to avoid all sorts of wear and tear as well as unidirectional flow of materials. Building walls are made up of RCC technique and floors are made of polished Kota stones. Coving is done on wall to ceiling to avoid dust/powder accumulation. Production areas are enclosed by flush partition doors and flush double glass windows. All these features are helpful to increase the efficiency of our staff and provide them a safe and sound work environment.
Apart from all these facilities, we organize regular workshops and training sessions on the safety of our employees and environment so that they remain aware of EHS programs and environmental-related concerns considered by the company.
